Better Fast Travel
Even though fast movement is a big part of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. It works very differently from how most RPG fans are used to it. Without Ferrystones or Portcrystals, players can’t quickly get to certain places on the map. Instead, they’ll have to run all over the big map to get from one place to another.
Even though Dark Arisen was a completely underrated experience. It couldn’t reach its full promise because it didn’t have good fast travel options. With Dragon’s Dogma 2, Capcom will have the chance to add a full-fledged fast travel system that might get rid of the need for Ferrystones and Portcrystals and let players quickly get to any key site they’ve already been to.
Better Customization
Given that it came out in 2013, devs couldn’t do as much as they can now. When it comes to things like letting RPG players customize their games. With the recent success of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter World, producers now have a great model to follow.
Given how popular Monster Hunter World has been, it wouldn’t be surprising if Dragon’s Dogma 2 had the same or even better level of character customization for both their body and their weapons. This would make a single-player RPG that can compete with Elden Ring and other famous Souls-like games, given how well its predecessor was received and how its best features are tied into Monster Hunter World.
Previews Of Skills
At the moment, there are no previews for any of the skill. That players can earn for each basic and advanced vocation. When looking for new skills, players can only go by what each one says about itself. They may end up unlocking something they don’t want, which wastes their points at the time of opening.
Since this is a core part of most RPGs today, it should be a requirement for Dragon’s Dogma 2, giving the game one last change and fix after the first game and making it easier to navigate when it comes to character upgrades.
No More Weight Limit
Even though some fans of RPGs might not think the weight limit is a big deal. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen made it feel like it was. Given how often players will be running around the game’s huge map. There are a lot of things they’ll need to pick up and bring back with them for upgrades or other reasons. Even though this depends on the profession or upgrades players choose, the weight limit is a big hindrance to the flow of Drift Boss, especially since there is no fast travel.
With Dragon’s Dogma 2, the developers should think about getting rid of the weight limit system and making it. So that stamina is only lost during battle and not when exploring, like some PC modders have done. Even though Monster Hunter World has a slightly different gameplay loop and focuses on online, Dragon’s Dogma 2 should stick to this pattern because it worked so well.
Better Pawn Commands & Communication
Based on the first video, which was a mix of story cutscenes and game play. It looks like Capcom may have stuck to the idea of making Dragon’s Dogma 2’s pawns feel like real people. Dragon’s Dogma 2’s pawn system will either make or break the experience. Since there is no multiplayer and it seems unlikely that it will be added in the future. What with Monster Hunter World, Rise, and the possibility of a new game in that series.
One of the biggest problems with the first game was how the pawns acted. They were either too talkative even when asked to be quie. Or they would fall off edges and hills during battle, leaving players alone to fight enemies. If Capcom can improve the dialogue, communication, and interactions between players’ pawns, and give Dragon’s Dogma 2 a better AI, especially when it comes to where friends stand and what they do when they meet enemies, then the game will reach its full potential.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is being made right now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
